HVLS Ceiling Big fans move slowly and distribute large amounts of air at low rotational speed, hence the name “high volume, low speed”, creating a (3.2 – 4.8 Km/h) gentle breeze across the employees. This breeze creates a “wind chill effect” and breaks up evaporation to produce a cooling effect. HVLS Ceiling Big Fan produces a column of air as it turns. This column of air moves down and out along the floor. Called a horizontal floor jet, which makes the employees feel like the temperature is 7 – 11% cooler.
